Our tour of 2019 will always be etched on our memories

Day 1: We visited the ever famous Malaikottai where at the top of the hill, we enjoyed the scenery and architecture of the Uchippillayar temple and the Thaimanavat temple in Trichy. Afterwards, our tour body was given the privilege of visiting the Anna Science Centre Planetarium. Children had the advantage of marvelling the cosmos and watching a 3- Movie.. Beyond the time of noon, we gained some knowledge on nature conservation and the life of the most beautiful insect, the butterfly, when we paid a visit to the Tropical Butterfly Conservatory Campus. We packed the day off after finally having darshan of the Ranganatha Swamy temple in Srirangam.
We halted for the night a Tanjore Oriental hotel. The ambience and food were good. It was a first time experience for the group.

Day 2: Being at Tanjore, we first went the world-renowned UNESCO heritage centre, Rajaraja Chola's Sri Brihadheeswara temple and enjoyed the serene atmosphere and the glorious construction. Our dear Principal ma'am enlightened us there on the legends and mythologies of the temple which were music to our ears. Subsequently, we went to the Royal Palace of Tanjore and caught our glimpses right into the past as we saw the Royal Palace Museum, Art Gallery and The Saraswathi Mahal Library. Afternoon, we sought out towards Rajendra Chola's Gangaikonda Cholapuram and immersed ourselves in its admirable architecture.

Day 3: On our final day of the tour, we visited the Basilica of Our Lady of Lourdes where every one of us delivered heartfelt prayers for the world's well being in the coming days. Then we went to the great Karikala Chola's Kallanai Dam where we saw the mighty Kaveri in all her glory and enjoyed ourselves. Back on the return trip, all of us were sure that this trip would be one which we would tell for ages to come and look forward to many more such occasions.
